Burton Deep Thinker

burton deep thinker snowboard 2021

The Deep Thinker is the directional, set back brother to the more freestyle focused twin Free Thinker. It was a board that I was really hoping that I would like, because I had heard good things from friends who have a similar riding style to me, and I like the way it looks, but it isn’t for me.

Nitro Slash

nitro slash snowboard 2021

The 2021 Slash is a giant change from previous years, where it is pretty much a completely new board now. I first rode the Slash in 2018, when it only came in the 163cm, and had the shaped balsa core. I liked it back then, but the the main thing the two boards have in common now is the name.

Never Summer Proto Slinger

never summer proto slinger 2021

A mix between the Funslinger and Proto Type Two, that is combined with the new Shock Wave camber profile. While the Funslinger and Proto both had their good place in the line, I think that this is a good replacement for park riders.

Never Summer Proto Synthesis

never summer proto synthesis 2021

A big upgrade from the Proto Type Two, the Synthesis has a far more aggressive Shock Wave camber profile which I loved.

The original Proto had a decent upgrade to the Proto Type Two, which gave it the asymmetrical shape and more aggressive Ripsaw camber profile. The next step up is the Synthesis, which has a bigger step up in the camber profile, and a few extra features added in the core.

Bataleon Surfer LTD

bataleon surfer ltd snowboard 2021

The Bataleon Surfer LTD would be the most expensive board that I have ever ridden, and although I had heard good things, I was still really surprised about how well it rode. The LTD is the special limited version of the Surfer, with an upgraded base and lighter core, with only 150 being made.
