The Skate Banana was the original board that started the massive trend towards banana and reverse camber board design. The technology that is on a few of Lib Tech‘s boards started here. BTX, which stands for Banana Technology is where your weight is shifted from your feet, and inwards to the center of the board where you control your balance.
This design means you end up with a board that is easy to turn, is loose and forgiving, floats in powder and still has pop. With the banana design, you would normally have to sacrifice edge hold, but that is the magne-traction edges are there for. The serrated design of the edges help keep strong edge hold, even with the banana shape.
The Skate Banana has a twin shape, so riding or landing switch will feel exactly the same as riding regularly. It has a medium flex, (5/10) so it works well whether you are jibbing or getting pop off jumps. It also has a fast sintered base.
If you wear size 11 or bigger boots, it is also available in a wide version.
