Features of the Bataleon Fun Kink and what they do
- Freestyle 3BT
It has a medium centerbase width, so a good in between shape that will ride everywhere.
- 3/10 Flex Rating
- Core Core
The core is made of poplar wood, with strips of beech hardwood along the inserts to give it some extra pop.
- Super Slick X
Although it is an extruded base, it is a high density version, so it should perform better than a basic extruded base.
- Bi Ax Laminate
Two directions of fiberglass, that keep the board light and strong.
- PLT Topsheet
Basically just a shiny topsheet, that is smooth because it is added to the board last.
- Solid Walls
- 99% Twin
Very close to a twin shape, with a nose that is 1cm longer than the tail.
- 159cm Wide
- 162cm Wide
The Fun Kink is pretty affordable in the Bataleon range, for around $430. If you are looking to ride more rails, the Disaster is a bit softer and a bit cheaper – while if you want to ride mainly park, the Evil Twin has a faster base, but costs a bit more at $500.
