Ride LX 2017
The Ride LX is their entry level mens binding, that has a soft flex and a cheap price.
Features of the Ride LX
- 3/10 Flex
Soft and forgiving flex rating, good for beginners who want a bit more flex in their gear. - Spectrum Chassis System
It is made from polycarbonate, which helps to keep the cost of the bindings down. - Wedgie Footbed
This is a light footbed that has a slight angle that is made to help align your ankles and knees in a slightly more natural position for riding. The idea is that it will give you a more comfortable ride, as well as give you more pop for ollies. - FreeFlex Highback
- RAD Ankle Strap
A fairly simple ankle strap, it is just designed to be comfortable, and give you a good strong fit. - ThinGrip Plus Toe Strap
The toe strap is made out of rubber, so that it can stretch over the toes of your boot, and not slip off. - AstraGlyde CP Ratchets
The lowest end of Ride’s ratchets, theses are made out of a composite material. - Compact Disc
The compact disc lets you mount the LX on regular boards with the 2×4, 4×4 as well as Burton Channel boards.
The main difference in this binding is the polycarbonate baseplate, it is light but keeps the binding cost down. If you move up to the EX, you will get a much tougher aluminum heelcup, with more adjustment options. If you are buying your first set of bindings they will be ok, but I would try to find some Ride EX, or even Burton Customs from a previous season to keep the costs down, while having a better quality binding.
