The Salomon Drift rocker is a board that is made for the terrain park.
Straight out of the wrapper it is ready to hit the terrain park. It has Salomon’s Freestyle Edge Bevel, which means you won’t have to give the board a solid detune just to go and hit some rails.
Like most park boards, it is a twin so that it can handle taking off, riding and landing switch. Rather than a classic radial sidecut, the Drift Rocker uses 3 straight lines, which is made for easy turns (without the fear of hooking in).
Tough landings on rails and on jumps are made a little bit easier with the Royal Rubber pads, which absorb a bit of the impact to make everything a bit softer.
Being a board that is ready to jib, the Pres-sure rocker shape is easy to press, and with the medium-soft flex (4/10) on Salomon’s scale, make a fun and forgiving board.
It has an extruded base, while it is slower than the more expensive sintered bases, also keeps the price of the board down and makes for much easier repairs.
Tech in this board:
- Pres-sure rocker
- Aspen Strong core
- Royal Rubber
- Freestyle Edge Bevel
- Extruded EG base
- Affordable price
- Slower extruded base (not a big deal for most riders)
An affordable softish twin park board, that will still be usable on the rest of the mountain. Similar in specs to the Capita Ultrafear.
