Ride Burnout 2017
The Ride Burnout is a hybrid camber (mostly regular!), medium flexing hybrid camber board, that has won 4 Transworld Good Wood awards. This is the second year of the Burnout, which replaced the older Buck Up.
Features of the Ride Burnout and what they do
- Twin Hybrid Camber
A mostly regular camber profile, that has small amounts of rocker on the tip and tail of the board. They are made to keep it from being too aggressive or catchy, while still being able to give you the solid feel of a regular camber board.
- Popwalls Slimewalls
The slimewalls are sidewalls made from urethane, which is good at absorbing impacts and keeping the ride damp. The popwalls version has carbon fiber sections that start at the inserts (where you mount the bindings) and extend out towards the contact points.
- Carbon Array 5 Laminates
Carbon stringers extend out from under the bindings to the contact points.
- Cleave Edge Steel
Thicker than normal edges, so they can take more of beating on rails without cracking.
- Hybrid Glass
A combination that has triaxial glass on top, with biaxial glass on the bottom. You end up with a good mix of torsion and stiffness that will handle well at speed.
- Fusion 4000 Base
A sintered base material, that is hard and fast. It does a good job at soaking up wax and keeping the board moving fast.
- Performance Core
The core is made up of strong Aspen wood, that is mixed with Bamboo and Paulownia to get a balance between strength and weight.
- 2×4 Inserts
- Flat Kick Tips
- Die Cut Base Swap
Different models will have opposite/alternating colors so that base material isn’t wasted.
