The Burton X-Base are some very expensive bindings which are made to see how light and strong bindings can be.
They come in two versions, Re:Flex and EST. The EST version is made only to work with board with The Channel, while the Re:Flex version will work with any mounting system.
They have a fairly stiff flex, with the Re:Flex version given a 7/10 flex rating, while the EST version has an 8/10 rating.
The highback is made of a 50:50 blend of Carbon Fiber and Nylon Composite, which is one of the main factors keeping these bindings light and stiff.
Like you would expect on a top of the line binding, it has the Asym Hammockstrap, same as on the Malavita.
