The Burton Malavita EST are mid flexing freestyle bindings made for Burton Channel boards.
It comes in two versions, the EST and Re:Flex. If you don’t have a Burton or Endeavor Channel Board, you will want to look at the Re:Flex version.
The main difference is that the EST version is made only to work with The Channel boards. The advantages of the Channel boards means that you aren’t limited at all in options for stance angles, or widths like you are on regular snowboards.
The EST versions use Dual Component material in the baseplate construction, which means that there is sfoter material under your feet, with harder material on the edges. You end up with a more comfortable ride, that is still stiff and responsive edge to edge.
The Hinge is something that is only on the higher end Burton EST bindings. Basically, the bindings have hinges that let the binding move laterally, which is made so that you get less tired, and get more natural feeling ollies.
